  During the visit, attended by the TOBB Board Member Harun Karacan, the sector’s problems and proposed solutions were discussed and information about the council and its work was relayed to Minister Ergün. It was stated that internet technologies would be entering a new stage and the importance of public administrations regulatory role and guidance were stressed. High costs of energy were pointed out that, drawing attention to the fact that the main resource necessary for television and radio was energy. Minister Ergün stated that important steps in R&D were taken in Turkey and underlined the importance of economic design and brands. Minister Ergün emphasized gratification for the increase of R&D in the media. He also stated that they were open to support and cooperation regarding the sector’s problems as a Ministry.
