The meeting, with high attendance of sector representatives, focused mainly on increasing demand for natural gas amendment bill to the Natural Gas Market Law. It was decided that the “Winter Season Situation Report and Suggestions” document would be updated with regards to the latest developments in the sector.

- Underground reservoirs and LNG terminals need to be better utilized

Gas rationing in industry and natural gas combined cycle plants as well as occasional electricity shortages were discussed during the Council meeting with emphasis on increasing storage capacity. The need to better utilize present storage facilities was stressed.

Stating the importance of new supply sources and their contributions, Council members emphasized the significance of improving the system and infrastructure investments. Also assessed during the meeting were recent developments in the natural gas market and advisor activities.
