The awards, first of which were awarded last year, are awarded - after consultation with the Ankara Mayor’s Office, civil society organizations like ATO and ASO and reviewed by council members and municipality bureaucrats - to prominent philanthropists, public administration, foundation and company personnel, successful Ankara businessmen, artists, journalists, athletes and scientists by the Municipality President Melih Gökçek.
