In addition to keynote speeches by Mr. Bela Szombati, Charge d’affaires a. i. of the Delegation of the European Union to Ankara and Mustafa AK, the Keçiören Mayor, Zeliha ÜNALDI, the UN Specialist on Gender Equality in Turkey, Gülser ERKOÇ from the Ankara Bar Association’s Gelincik Center and feminist Sinem MISIRLIOĞLU also  participated as speakers. The event, which sought to address issues such as gender equality, women’s engagement with the social, political and economic sphere and its significance, the prevention of violence against women, the status of the women in Turkey and female-friendly municipalities, followed by a musical performance from Feministanbul. Children attended an animated film that was run concurrently with the discussion panel and the musical performance. 150 people attended the event.
