As a part of the visit, the Turkey-Solevian Business Forum took place on the 30th of March, 2015 in Ljubljana, Slovenia with the attendances of TOBB Board Vice Chair İbrahim Çağlar, President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Slovenian President Borut Pahor, Turkish Economy Minister Nihat Zeybekci, Slovenian Economic Development and Technology Minister Zdravko Pociivalsek, Slovenian Chamber of Industry and Commerce Chair Samo Hribar Milic as well as DEİK Board Chair Ömer Cihad Vardan.
President Erdoğan urged the entrepreneurs of both countries to keep close watch on Slovakia’s privatization tenders.
Pointing out that additionally, the two countries can cooperate in the construction sector as well as in third countries, ErdoÄŸan stated that he believes that the hydro-electric plant built in Montenegro by Turkish-Slovenian-Montenegro companies would bring the three countries closer together. President ErdoÄŸan also stated that removing obstacles impeding the private sector is the duty of the government.
