Visiting Egypt in order to increase the active participation of women in their country’s economy and provide role models for the next generation, TOBB Women Entrepreneurs Council members conducted many bi-lateral meetings on a sector basis with the Egypt business world.
Visiting the various factories in the region, the women entrepreneurs attended the 29th October Republic Day reception hosted by the Turkish Ambassador to Cairo, Hüseyin Avni Botsalı.
The committee led by the TOBB Bilecik Women Entrepreneurs Council and DEİK Turkish-Egyptian Business Council President, Zuhal Mansfield, attended the bi-lateral business talks in Egypt accompanying the Minister of Family and Social Policies Fatma Şahin and a group of members of parliament.
Speaking at the “Bi-Lateral Business Talks Opening Ceremony”, attended by the Minister of Family and Social Affairs Fatma Şahin, Egypt Industry and Commerce Minister Mohammed Eisa, Egypt Petroleum Minister Abdullah Guab and Egypt International Economic Affirs Vice President Somaya Saad, TOBB Bilecik Women Entrepreneurs Council and DEİK Turkish-Egyptian Business Council President Zuhal Mansfield stated that in order to increase economic affairs visas needs to be lifted between the two countries.
President of the Foundation of Turkish-Egyptian Businessmen Zeki Ekinci emphasized that the people of Egypt trust Turkish people and goods and stated that Turkish entrepreneurs must not shake this trust. Zeki Ekinci emphasized that Egypt has stood by Turkey in its time of need.
Deputy Minister of Egypt International Economic Affairs Somaya Saad invited Turkish entrepreneurs to invest in Egypt, especially in the field of tourism.
During the sector based bi-lateral business meeting, many fields including construction, energy, tourism, agriculture, livestock and food industry were discussed.
During the meetings it was agreed that Turkey is the gateway to Europe as Egypt is to Africa and Turkish entrepreneurs were invited to invest in Egypt.
