Formed by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey of 9 members for two years, the TIR Committee convened under TIR Committee Chair Halim Mete.​

Discussed during the TIR Committee meeting were assessments of company applications for taking part in the TIR system, assessments of company applications for leaving the TIR system, assessments of company applications for utilizing assurance discounts, various companies which have become embroiled in infractions and the issues faced by the sector.
