Paper Products Council assesses the EU Twinning Project

TOBB Turkey Paper and Paper Products Council assembled a committee to assess the “Best Available Techniques” (BAT) and “Best Reference Documents” (BREF) as part of the EU Twinning Project.
TOBB Turkey Paper and Paper Products Industry Council met at the Ankara TOBB Union Center. Attending the meeting in addition to the council members were Environment and Urbanism Ministry, Economy Ministry and Electricity Works Survey Branch Directorate representatives.
Management of Packaging Waste Legislation, waste paper import and export and TSE standards applications were discussed during the meeting while it was decided that a joint study to investigate the energy savings potential of the paper sector would be made in cooperation with the Electricity Works Survey Branch Directorate. The effects of climate change and sector adaptation were also subjects of the meeting.
