The meeting saw wide attendance with representatives of Energy and Natural Resources Ministry, Competition Board, BOTAÅž, TPAO, EU Turkey Delegation and the private sector to discuss developments in the sector.

Council Chair Ä°brahim Akbal provided information regarding recent developments in the sector touching on nuclear energy, utilization of domestic coal, natural gas usage as well the effects of renewables on the sector.

Council Vice Chairs Yaşar Arslan and Eyüp Aratay provided information on the efforts of various committees of the Council.

Energy and Natural Resources Ministry Supply Security Department Chief Murat Akkaya spoke about the department’s report on domestic resources, LNG development and resource diversity.

Turkey Natural Gas Council Advisor Erdinç Özen spoke on the future of the natural gas market in Turkey.
