Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

During the first part of the meeting presided over by Council Chair Kudret Önen, Council Vice Chair Osman Sever gave an assessment on the general state of the sector.

Sever reported that, in the first 8 months, there was a 13% increase in automobile production while 14% increase in total imports – a total of 705,000 automobiles. Imports decreased by 4% in total imports share, While automobiles in decreased by 3% in total imports share.

Sever stated that this year is expected to be a record year for production and export.
