The first meeting of the Global Entrepreneurship Congress (GEC), one of the most important summits of the global entrepreneurship ecosystem to be held in Istanbul in March 2018, took place in İstanbul.
Taking place at the Sait Halim Paşa Mansion, the Special Launch and Chat Dinner, TOBB GGK President Ali Sabancı, Endeavor Association Chairman Emre Kurttepeli, TOBB Vice Chairman Ender Yorgancılar, TİM Chairman Mehmet Büyükekşi, Head of Habitat Association Sezai Ready and Special Guest Kauffman Foundation Politics And Research Vice President Dane Stangler met with journalists.
In his address, TOBB Vice Chairman Ender Yorgancılar said, “Turkey has no choice but to become an entrepreneur in order to prosper. There is no reason why global companies that change the world should not emerge from Turkey. Education is very important at this point. We need an education system where young people with qualifications conforming to global standards are trained. While we produce more entrepreneurs in Turkey, we also have to attract the most qualified entrepreneurs of the region to our country. To do this, we must explain the opportunities that Turkey offers to entrepreneurs on international platforms. GEC 2018 is a great opportunity for this. As TOBB and other institutions of the organization committee, we are very happy that we have brought these organizations to our country.”
