Speaking at the meeting, Faruk Özlü, the Minister of Industry, Science and Technology, stated that the 2014-2016 Design Strategy Document and Action Plan were the first policy document in this area and stated that, “We have been working hard to prepare the Design Strategy Document for the new period this year. We have determined that our vision is 'to be a global brand of Turkish design' and we have determined more than 20 actions to be enacted in the next 3 years in line with 5 primary goals.”
