Halkalı Customs Directorate opened to service

In order to provide customs services in a more modern and healthy environment and to relieve Istanbul traffic, TOBB Customs and Tourism Enterprises Co. Inc., through the build-operate-transfer model, the Halkalı Customs Directorate built in Çatalca, has begun operations.
Customs and Trade Minister Bülent Tüfenkci, TOBB Vice Chairman Ali Kopuz and GTI Co. Inc. Chairman Arif Parmak were present at the ceremony attended by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan via teleconference.
Ali Kopuz, Vice Chairman of the Board of TOBB, stated that the facility has been contributed to the economy through partnership with TOBB and said, “This facility is very important for the prosperity of Turkey, we have to produce more goods to enrich our country; we have to sell more goods abroad. The 13$ of every 100$ we sell abroad goes through this customs office.”
