Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

Discussed during the council meeting was information regarding subjects presented to the TOBB Economy Council of Turkey by Council Chair Cihat Alagöz on February 7^th, 2017, hosted by TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and attended by President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım and relevant Ministers.

Opinions were exchanged on work regarding the supervision of fairs and the compiling of the fair statistics, which was decided upon during the previous meeting of the Sector Council and prepared by the Sub-Commission.

The work to be carried out by the Sector Council on “World Fairs Day”, which will be held globally on June 7^th, 2017, was also decided upon.

It was decided to create a sub-commission to work on the proposal of the updating of the criteria of the exhibition properties and the physical characteristics of the fairgrounds during the meeting where the current situation and future of the Turkish Fair Industry Sector were discussed.
