TOBB Board Member Selçuk Öztürk stated that recalling that Turkey signed the Cooperation Memorandum of Understanding in e-commerce between Turkey and China during its G20 presidency period, saying, “As the executive private sector organization on the Turkish side, Chinese along with our counterpart, prepared to carry out the project. We authorized the World Small Business Forum Foundation to manage the project which we established as TOBB in cooperation with the World Bank. The Chinese side also commissioned DHGate, the most important B2B platform in the field of electronic commerce. These two organizations worked intensively to prepare the “China-Turkey Cross-Border E-Commerce Pilot Project Action Plan.” Today, we are bringing the project initiated in 2015 with the support our President Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the Chinese President to life.”
