Important step towards reducing foreign dependency from TOBB

Electronic certifications of domestic digital tachograph vehicle units have been started by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) and the Digital Tachograph Research and Application Center (STAUM).​

The production of the digital tachograph vehicle unit is already done by several companies at global level. 

As of July 14, 2017, ASELSAN Elektronics, Industry and Trade Inc. and PARS R&D Information Technologies Co., Ltd., producing digital tachograph vehicle unit in Turkey, began receiving certification services from the Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communication and TOBB-STAUM. 

With the completion of the STAUM facilities established by TOBB in 2010, ASELSAN and Pars R&D initiatives have made it possible for two domestic producers to meet market needs.
