Seminar for R-D, Design Supports and Project Placing held in İstanbul

Hosted by Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey “Seminar for R-D, Design Support and Project Placing” intended for textile, ready-wear and leather goods sectors has been organised under the cooperation of Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology, KOSGEB and İstanbul Development Agency. ​

Meeting was attended by representatives from companies engaged in textile, ready-wear and leather goods sectors as well as officials of Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology, KOSGEB, Istanbul Development Agency and TOBB.

Delivering the opening speech of the seminar TOBB KOBİ Research and Consultancy Center Manager Cahit Ceren stated that the R-D and Design seminars that they first started in Kahramanmaraş, they proceed with Çorlu, Denizli, Adana and İzmir which as the sixth one they were conducting Istanbul seminar.  

Ceren stated that they had been conducting the seminars within the scope of “Strategy Paper and Action Plan for Turkey Textile, Ready-Wear and Leather Goods Sectors” article for delivering R-D, Design support and project placing seminars for the companies that engage in activities within the sector as per “Textile, Ready-Wear and Leather Products Sectors Strategy Paper” under the responsibility of TOBB.

At the seminar, while Gözde Ulu Metin who participated as representative of Ministy of Science, Industry and Technology giving information for Ministerial R-D and Design Centres along with the incentives and exclusions that they gave within that scope, Mete Koyuncu from KOSGEB also conveyed topics in relation with KOSGEB aids and application methods regarding those aids.

After information was given in relation with supports and incentives for KOBİs, training in reference to project cycle for those projects which would be prepared in order to benefit from those tools, was given by Istanbul Development Agency Representative Barlas Selçuk.

Supports and incentives given by public institutions and organisations as well as project cycle training attracted a great deal of interest by sectoral representatives. Speakers also answered the questions by the sectoral representatives.
