TOBB Vice President Hali Mete, during his speech, said the industrial revolutions to date put women in a disadvantageous position in terms of economy whereas in the new industrial revolution things are being changing which puts intelligence and digital technology take the place of muscle power.

Stating that such development being a very important opportunity for Turkey, Mete also said “Yet our youngsters and women adapt more easily to digital age. The competence required for this new age exist within women more than men. Therefore I consider internet and technology as a very valuable opportunity for our women. In present day entrepreneurism is divided two. One side there are ones who work old fashion and get limited with conventional methods. Those are the greats of yesterday who shall fall behind tomorrow. One the other side there are ones who utilise digital platforms effectively, marketing their products and services to entire world. That’s where the future is. We want our women to take place in that second group.”

Family and Social Policies Minister Fatma Betül Sayan Kaya also said information and communication technologies provide humanity with convenience in every aspect of life and access to information is only fingertip away.
