UMEM Ability’10 Executive Committee discussed the Vocational Orientation Battery

The Specialized Vocational Training Centers Project (UMEM) Ability’10 Project Executive Committee held its meeting at the TOBB Union Center.​

 

The meeting was attended by the TEPAV Director and TOBB ETU Deputy Rector Prof. Dr. Güven Sak, National Education Ministry Vice Undersecretary Prof. Dr. Halis Yunus Ersöz, National Education Ministry Vocational and Technical Education Director General Ass. Prof. Dr. Ömer Açıkgöz and İŞKUR Deputy Director General Kazım Yiğit with the TOBB Secretary General Mustafa Saraçöz presiding over the meeting.

- Vocational orientations will be determined

Informing the Executive Committee members regarding the Vocational Orientation Battery, İŞKUR representatives stated that the study, which focuses on general ability, personality inventory and vocational training, aims to determine the person’s vocational orientations. It was stated that the battery aims to determine the best candidates for courses and increasing the performance in courses.

Course attendee satisfaction to be gauged

The Course Attendee Satisfaction Survey will be held with the attendees who successfully complete the course wherein they will report their levels of satisfaction in regards to equipment, training possibilities and the teachers.

At the end of the meeting, it was decided that the Vocational Orientation Battery will be conducted at various regions as a pilot study at first. It was also decided unanimously that the Course Attendee Satisfaction Survey would be held with all attendees who successfully complete the course.
