Speaking at the opening of the seminar, Faik Yavuz, despite the work carried out on the nuclear power plant in Turkey, there is a tendency to move away from nuclear power plants in the world, and stressed that various ideas have been put forward.
Referring to the report published by the International Energy Agency in May 2019, Yavuz said that besides the efforts to reduce Carbon Emissions as a part of the Climate Change and Paris Agreements, it is not possible to meet the world's electricity need only with wind and solar power plants, and that there will be a big increase in wind and solar power plants as well as the number of nuclear power plants, and that the old plants will be renewed without compromising security
