TOBB Board of Directors Vice President Halim Mete, stating that the procedures and principles formulated through the investigation of proposals presented for consideration by various administration, institution and especially TOBB have been very useful, said that the YOİKK technical committees -numbering 10, down from 12- will be much more active.​

The Coordination Council for the Improvement of the Investment Environment (YOİKK) held its 17th meeting with Economy Minister Zafer Çağlayan presiding with the attendances of TOBB Board Vice President Halim Mete, relevant ministry bureaucrats, YOİKK member technical committee presidents and other private sector establishment presidents.

Speaking at the meeting held at the Economy Ministry, TOBB Board Vice President Halim Mete stated that the YOİKK platform has achieved significant successes such as the passing of the 4875 numbered bill regarding Direct Foreign Investments and the R&D Legislation and the establishment of the Investment Support and Promotion Agency. Mete emphasized that the cooperation of the public administration and the private sector has been instrumental in achieving these victories and that with the private sector’s shifting priorities at this point in progress a revision of YOİKK is necessary.

The changes made to the YOİKK Platform’s structure, modus operandi and procedures as per the YOİKK Ministers’ Council Principle Decision made on January 16th, 2012, were assessed.
