TOBB Board Member Mehmet Büyüksimitci recalled that Turkey Sector Councils have been operating since 2006, stressing that the councils are the platform that brings public, private sector and sectoral non-governmental organizations together on a legal basis. Büyüksimitci also conveyed his thanks to the Presidential Council, which had their signature under the works of the Council in the previous period.

As a result of the election of the Presidential Council, Turkven Private Equity Managing Partner Göktekin Dinçerler was unanimously re-elected to Presidency, Business Venture Capital Investment General Manager Murat Özgen was unanimously elected as Vice President.

It was also decided to establish the Ecosystem and Investors Commission as well as the Regulation and Organization Commission. Diffusion Capital Partners BV Partner Altan Küçükçınar was elected Ecosystem and Investors Commission Chairman, while Arz Real Estate and Venture Capital Portfolio Management Inc General Manager Murat Onuk was elected Regulation and Organization Commission Chairman.

In the second agenda item of the meeting, Ahmet Saygın Baban, TOBB Sectors and Entrepreneurship Department Chief, gave a presentation on the structure, activities and expectations of the members of the Sector Councils.

The meeting also discussed economic measures against Covid-19 pandemic, the association of these measures with the sector and the impact of Covid-19 pandemic on the sector.
