TOBB Board Member Davut Cetin noted that Turkey's Sector Council have been operating since 2006, stressing that the Council are the platform which brings public, private sector and sectoral non-governmental organizations together on a legal basis. Çetin also expressed that the Travel Agencies, which will start operations again under the umbrella of TOBB, that Council Members should protect the dynamic structure of the Council.

As a result of the election of the Presidential Council, Firuz Bağlıkaya, Chair of the Board of Directors of the Association of Travel Agencies of Turkey, was unanimously elected to the presidency and Ali Riza Koç, General Manager of Ark Tourism, was unanimously elected as vice president.

In the second agenda item of the meeting, Ahmet Saygın Baban, TOBB Sectors and Entrepreneurship Department Chief, gave a presentation on the structure, activities and expectations of the members of the Sector Council.
