During the meeting, the measures taken to address the Coronavirus outbreak were consulted on; the situation was discussed in terms of the furniture sector, the impact of domestic and foreign trade, the impact on the furniture sector and additional measures to be taken.

Councilors noted that in April and May, work had stopped throughout the sector; presenting the joint opinion that work was carried out with a capacity of 20-30%.
It was then emphasized that the 8% VAT rate applied in furniture should be applied to the raw material used in the formation of furniture.
Finally, Furniture Assembly Products Chairman Ercan Ata stated that they are carrying out a successful process against the coronavirus outbreak and the furniture industry will implement the measures necessary.
