Food Industry and Beverage Industry Councils discussed post-Covid-19 strategies

Turkey Food Industry and Turkey Beverage Industry Council met via video conferencing to discuss the sectoral effects of the Covid-19 pandemic, which has affected the whole world, and strategies on this issue. TOBB Board Members Cengiz Günay and Özer Matlı attended the meeting, giving opening speeches.​

Özer Matlı began his speech by addressing the importance of the food industry and beverage industry sectors. Matlı, noted that the food and beverage industry’s R&D centers, geographically marked products and international brands are among the sectors which contribute the most to the country's economy today, contrary to the belief, said that the sectors were affected by the pandemic process.
