The number of capacity reports approved in the first 6 months of 2020 (20,216 units) decreased by 5.5% (1,166 units) compared to the first 6 months of 2019 (21,382).

Of the 3,552 capacity reports approved in June; 1,015 were in Istanbul, 235 in Ankara, 215 in Izmir, 154 in Bursa, 151 in Gaziantep and Konya, 100 in Kocaeli, 83 in Adana, 77 in Denizli and Tekirdağ.

The total number of active capacity reports in the TOBB Industrial Database increased by 0.1% (744 units) to 74,790 in June 2020 from 74,046 in June 2019.

According to Active Capacity Reports, the total number of employees decreased by 0.3% (8,855 units) from 3,148,406 in June 2019 to 3,139,551 in June 2020.

Capacity reports are compiled by local Chambers and approved by TOBB for: utilization of bench, device, machine and motive force in processing raw materials, semi-and complete products, property, content, composition or shape in full or in part; for businesses that produce a new product in serial or standard, and for those who operate and operate underground resources and produce software with information technology.

*Capacity reports whose validity periods will expire in March, April, May and June 2020 have been extended until July 1, 2020.
