Turkey's fastest growing 25 companies as determined by the AllWorld Network under Harvard University and the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) received their awards.
The results of the Turkey-25 Project were announced at the Global Entrepreneurship Summit held at the Istanbul Congress Hall and the awards were presented to the winners by the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly Cemil Çiçek, Economy President Zafer Çağlayan and TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu.
The companies determined during the project are growing by 250% yearly. As of 2011 the 25 fastest growing companies are providing employment to 6,883 people with an average personnel number of 273. The CEOs of the Turkey-25 are on average 42 years old and the companies are on average 10 years old.
42% of Turkeys fastest growing companies are located in Istanbul (10 companies), 25% in Ankara (6 companies) and 13% in Kocaeli (3 companies). Also on the list are 2 companies each from Kahramanmaraş and İzmir, 1 from Osmaniye and Kayseri.
The annual income increase between 2008 and 2010 of the companies who won the right to be on the list are as follows:
