TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said, "We are grieving the loss of the founding President of the TRNC, Rauf Denktaş who dedicated his life to the continuing fight for freedom and equality of the Cyprus Turkish nation."​

Hisarcıklıoğlu, in his message regarding the passing of the President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), Rauf Denktaş, stated:

"We are deeply saddened by the loss of the leader of the continuing fight for freedom and equality of the Cyprus Turkish Nation, the founding President of the TRNC Rauf DenktaÅŸ.

DenktaÅŸ was a statesman who dedicated his life to the freedom and equality of the Cyprus Turkish nation. The Cyprus Turkish people and the Turkish Nation has lost an important leader.

On behalf of the Turkish business world, I pray for the grace of Allah upon Rauf DenktaÅŸ and present our condolences to his family, the Turkish Nation and the Turks of Northern Cyprus."
