TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that we owe being able to achieve the things that we’ve achieved as a country today first and foremost to our martyrs who sacrificed their lives without hesitation.

In his message, Hisarcıklıoğlu said:

“The Çanakkale Naval Battle, which ended on March 18th, 1915 in our victory, was instrumental in the victory of the land battles. The Çanakkale Victory is a real legend of resistance and willpower, the like of which can seldom be found throughout history.

Our revered martyrs wrote down in history for the generations that follow what love of country is by selflessly sacrificing themselves and how important the values of freedom and independence are.

The duty that falls to us and the generations that follow is to ensure that peace and development reigns eternal on these beautiful lands where everyone works hand in hand to make it the most modern and advanced country of the world. We will never turn away from this goal.

It is with these thoughts and sentiments, on behalf of the Turkish business world, that I reverently commemorate the Çanakkale martyrs and the great leader, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and bow respectfully before their revered memories.”
