In his speech, President of the Turk Society Nuri Gürgür stated that the foundation of the Turk Society coincides with a very critical period and therefore the Society has been in the interest of many nationally conscientious luminaries and youth since its founding.
Turkey must value its cultural heritage, grant it the importance it deserves and be ever conscious that it is the inheritor of a founding civilization in order to maintain its presence in the global competitive arena and maintain an economic, political and cultural position as befits Turkey," said Gürgür and went on to speak about the work surrounding the new Constitution, "Turkey must fulfill the necessities of a whole and perfect state of law by granting its people the opportunities and rights as those granted to those of developed countries by eliminating any shortcomings."
