TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that, with almost a century behind it, the Anadolu Agency has not only stayed true to the professional press tenets but has taken on an important role in establishing press policy and etiquette.
In his congratulatory message to the Board President and General Director of the Anadolu Agency Kemal Öztürk, Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that the historically sensitive, determined and solution oriented efforts of the Anadolu Agency, established on April 6th, 1920 by the Great Leader Atatürk, are an opportunity for everyone in need of objective information.
Stating that the Anadolu Agency, with nearly a century behind it, has not only stayed true to the tenets of the press profession but has also taken on an important role in establishing press policy and etiquette, Hisarcıklıoğlu said:
“The role taken on by the Anadolu Agency in pioneering independent and truthful press has been fulfilled successfully and it has become an agency of which we are all very proud today.
We all need to be careful during the crisis the world is going through today. People and institutions in positions of responsibility need to be very careful.
As it is expected of news institutions and the agencies which provide them with information to maintain careful vigil, and important mission and responsibility falls to the exemplary Anadolu Agency.”
Hisarcıklıoğlu, on behalf of the TOBB Board of Directors and the Turkish business world, congratulated everyone who has contributed to the Anadolu Agency from the day it was established.
