Attending the Chambers and Exchanges Joint Council Meeting in Kars, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu related the rising importance of agriculture and livestock in the world and stated that Kars should brand their cheese and similar products.
Hisarcıklıoğlu exchanged views with chamber and exchange members from Kars and its environs hosted by the Kars Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Ali Zaman.
Stating that Kars is one of the centers for livestock, Hisarcıklıoğlu remarked that 4 of the top 10 products, the price of which have increased the most worldwide, are agricultural and livestock goods. Hisarcıklıolu said that agriculture and livestock used to be subsistence professions in the past while now, they are tools for profit and stated that with the new incentives system, Kars is expected to be a center of attraction for investments.
- “Patent the kashar cheese”
Stressing the potential of Kars and its surrounding geography for pasturage, Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that if done correctly, irrigated pasturage will invoke less costs. Hisarcıklıoğlu warned the Kars businessmen to the need for patenting the kashar cheese.
Entrepreneurs attending the meeting shared their problems with Hisarcıklıoğlu.
TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu visited the Kars Commerce Exchange President İsmet Çelik at his office and met with the members of the Exchange. Hisarcıklıoğlu also paid a courtesy visit to the Kars Mayor, Ahmet Kara.
