Turkish and German business worlds met for a business dinner hosted by TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu. The Union of German Chambers of Commerce and Industry (DIHK) President Hans Heinrich Driftmann stated that they have had an exciting time in Turkey, saying, “We’ve come to learn not teach. We will develop our cooperation, this I promise.”
TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, the Union of German Chambers of Commerce and Industry (DIHK) President Hans Heinrich Driftmann and the businessmen of the two countries met for a business dinner at the TOBB Union Center.
In his speech, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, pointing out that they’ve had a very busy 24 hours, stated that a deep-rooted friendship stands between Turkey and Germany and that many people are in some way connected to Germany.
Touching on the fact that Germany has contributed and supported Turkey’s EU process which started in 1963, Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that approximately 100,000 Germans own property in the south of Turkey and that Germans living in Turkey are quite happy.

The Union of German Chambers of Commerce and Industry (DIHK) President Hans Heinrich Driftmann, praising TOBB’s operation, said, “You have such an organization that the whole world is envious.”
Stating that they are returning to Germany with much knowledge gained, Driftmann stated that they would put this knowledge to use.
An assessment of the Turkish economy and TOBB was presented after the speeches.
