The President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey, M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, in his message regarding the landmine explosions which occurred in Diyarbakır and Hakkari stated, “The best response to focuses of terror which have not benefited from human values is to embrace our national and democractic values and the solidarity of our country.”
Hisarcıklıoğlu stated in his message:
“We are deeply saddened by the death of the Gendarme Commander and a specialized sergeant of the Lice County as a result of the landmine explosion in the Lice county of Diyarbakır province and the wounding of a soldier in the Yüksekova county of the Hakkari province where a mine exploded during a military convoy.
These attacks which target the unity and solidarity of our country will never succeed. As always, t he best response to focuses of terror which have not benefited from human values is to embrace our national and democratic values and the solidarity of our country.
Let us move in unison as nation, with our political will, military, security forces and civil society organizations. We must act as one as a nation and condemn terror in the face of these attacks.
On behalf of the Turkish business world, I pray for the grace of Allah upon the fallen and present my condolences to the family, loved ones of the martyrs, the Turkish Armed Forces and the great Turkish nation.”
