In his message, Hisarcıklıoğlu said:

“We have learned to our great sorrow that as a result of an explosion which occurred during work at the ammo depot at the Munitions Warehouse Headquarters of the Army Logistics Headquarters in Afyonkarahisar, 25 of our soldiers have been martyred with another 4 soldiers and 4 civilians wounded.

I believe that necessary precautions will be taken to prevent a repetition of this grievous incident.

On behalf of myself and the Board of Directors, I pray for the grace of Allah upon the martyrs and present my condolences to the members of our dear armed forces and the families of the martyrs. I wish for the quick recovery of those wounded in this painful incident.”
