Attending the Kırklareli Commodity Exchange’s “2011 Tax, Export and Registration Awards,” Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that Turkey has fertile arable lands and that these must be utilized effectively.

“We have no tradition of coming together and running a business together,” said Hisarcıklıoğlu and went on, “We must first criticize ourselves. We should be nurturing a tradition of joint business ventures in Kırklareli. We must unite our efforts with good examples. We must utilize the fertile lands that we have effectively. The most strategic goods in the coming years will be those of livestock farming and agriculture. The world’s population increases by 74 million each year. This is the equivalent of Turkey each year. Livestock farming and agriculture are no longer just for subsistence like they used to be, but for profit. Our lands are leased by neighboring countries. We are sitting on a huge treasure. If the Netherlands gets 10 liters of milk per cow while we get 1 liter, we shouldn’t be looking to put the blame elsewhere.”

Touching on the subject of increasing terror attacks in Turkey, Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that those who wish to break apart this country, those who wish harm upon in will not succeed.

After the speeches, Hisarcıklıoğlu and the Kırklareli Mayor Mustafa Yaman presented the prizes to the businessmen who paid the highest amount of tax.
