Inspecting TOBB ETU with Hisarcıklıoğlu, Marcon was briefed extensively on the university and that despite opening only 8 years ago, it has advanced greatly, drawing in 7 of the top 100 entrants to the university exam this year. Stating that they will be preparatory courses in Russian and Arabic in addition to English, the TOBB President said that their goal is to bring the number of postgraduate students up to the number of undergraduates.

Stating that it is the only university where entrepreneurship and leadership courses are mandatory for all students, Hisarcıklıoğlu provided information regarding the joint education model. Hisarcıklıoğlu said that one of the trimesters are spent working in the private sector. “This is our success story,” said Hisarcıklıoğlu and stated that TOBB ETU has become a role model.

Also touring the TOBB ETU Hospital along with TOBB Board Member Harun Karacan and TOBB ETU Hospital Board President Şadan Eren and receiving information regarding the hospital, André Marcon stated that the hospital project is indicative of Hisarcıklıoğlu’s great vision. Marcon said, “I’ve observed that this is a very high quality hospital with its doctors and capabilities. The fact that there is an international ward is indicative of President Hisarcıklıoğlu’s touch. I would like to express my surprise. Congratulations. This is a very qualified team. This is the hospital which should be taken as an example in other countries, Especially in France.”
