Becoming ill during the meeting of the İskenderun Chamber of Commerce and Industry (İTSO) last week, the İTSO President and businessman Mehmet Binbay passed away at the hospital.
TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, in his message regarding the passing of Binbay, stated that he is greatly saddened by the death of Mehmet Binbay and said, “We have lost a very respectable member of the Turkish business community. The contributions he made to this community will never be forgotten. May Allah make heaven his abode.”
Hisarcıklıoğlu, stating that Binbay had previously served two terms as İTSO President and been a member of the TOBB board, said that Binbay had accomplished important works for Turkey’s economy and the TOBB community.
Mehmet Binbay will be interred at the family grave at the Karaağaç Cemetery in İskenderun.
