Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan received the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) delegation lead by M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu.
The meeting, held at the Prime Ministry Residence and attended by Deputy Prime Minister Ali Babacan, Minister of Justice Sadullah Ergin, Customs and Commerce Minister Hayati Yazıcı and Treasury Minister Mehmet Şimşek, lasted approximately 2.5 hours.
Speaking to the members of the press after the meeting TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that they, along with 45 Chamber-Exchange Presidents from the Eastern and Southeastern provinces, had met with the Prime Minister Erdoğan.
Stating that they found the opportunity to relay to the Prime Minister the problems and developments encountered in the region, Hisarcıklıoğlu said:
“Our chamber and exchange presidents are close with the residents of their cities and are opinion leaders of their regions. Today, they found the opportunity to relay their views and suggestions to the Prime Minister. We will also visit the three political parties which hold groups in the National Assembly with our chamber and exchange presidents. We will share our views with all political parties. Afterwards we may consider the results of the meetings and share our findings with you, the members of the press.”
