During the visit, Hisarcıklıoğlu wished Seshadri success in his new appointment. Providing information in regards to TOBB, TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu talked about the vocational training and competency projects they’ve undertaken. Hisarcıklıoğlu went on to talk about the stages Turkey’s economy has undergone and the problems it has overcome since the 90s and stated that it would be beneficial to be in cooperation with the IMF during the B20 process.

Seshadri stated that as the IMF representative, they are open to support in all fields, not just the macroeconomic. Pointing out that Turkey has strong potential, Seshadri stated that as long as the structural reforms are undertaken together with the business community and expressed the importance of being in dialogue with TOBB in order to understand the business world.
