Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that they have convened as the Chambers of Commerce Council at the TOBB Social Facilities to ascertain their expectations of 2015.
Reminding that the 4 years following the general elections in 2015 will have no additional elections, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “This will present very important opportunities for structural reforms.”
Providing information in regards to subjects which will be discussed during the meeting, Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that the role of chambers and exchanges in the arbitration mechanism and vocational education are on the list.
Pointing out that Turkey will be acting Term President of G20 in 2015, going on to stress the fact that the B20, the business arm of the G20, will provide great opportunities for Turkey to promote itself, with many meetings planned throughout 2015 in Turkey which will be attended by the CEOs of many global companies.
Reminding that one of the B20’s workgroup’s is the Commerce Workgroup, Hisarcıklıoğlu urged chamber presidents to contribute to the process.
Pointing out the importance of relaying the various obstacles they face when trading internationally, Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that the G20 is the highest authority which can be addressed in these matters. Hisarcıklıoğlu added that the G20 Term Presidency is the biggest organization Turkey has undertaken to date.

TOBB Chambers of Commerce Council President Ekrem Demirtaş, stating that they had visited the President of the Republic, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the previous day, reported that they’ve relayed to him the problems they face such as tax burdens, the need for an updated incentive package and development agencies.
