Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and TOBB Board Vice President Çamur Ali Kopuz, along with Edirne Municipality Director Recep Gürkan and the chamber/exchange presidents from neighboring counties, visited the chamber and exchange in Edirne.

Hosted by the Edirne Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chair Recep Zıpkınkurt, Hisarcıklıoğlu met with the Edirne TSO Board and Council Members. Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that the TIR Park which will be built after 6 years of legislative work will provide great benefits to the city and that the Kapıkule Customs Gate will become much more modern.

Visiting the Edirne Commodity Exchange afterwards, Hisarcıklıoğlu was greeted by Edirne Commodity Exchange Chair Özay Öztürk. Meeting with the Edirne Commodity Exchange Board and Council Members, Hisarcıklıoğlu was briefed on Exchange operations. Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that Recep Zıpkınkurt, Özay Öztürk and Recep Gürkan working together would make great contributions to the future of the city.

Hisarcıklıoğlu presented the chairmen with copies of From Yunus’ Rose Garden while accepting souvenir gifts.

- Selimiye Foundation Board of Trustees’ first meeting

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu also attended the first meeting of the Selimiye FoundationBoard of Trustees, founded with the goal of repairing and maintaining the Selimiye Mosque. Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that they would do their part in preserving this historical structure.
