The President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu’s statement regarding the “Employment, Industry Investment and Production Incentive Package”:
“We have received the Employment, Industry Investment and Production Incentive Package announced today by Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu very positively as the business community.
In painful circumstances wherein the whole world is transitioning to a new financial environment, this new incentive package will boost the morale and enthusiasm of our industrialists and investors.
We closely monitor the problems of the real sector via our 365 Chambers and Exchanges in 81 provinces and 160 counties and relay them to our Government.
In this regard, we are greatly pleased to find that many of the problems and suggestions we’ve relayed so far have been addressed in this incentive package.
This package, along with the “Economy Transformation Programs” announced by the Prime Minister Davutoğlu in recent months, will provide the economy with new momentum.
The most important factor for getting out of the medium income trap is the support for the production of high technology.
To this end, the developments brought on by the package are very positive and will play a key role in elevating our industry to the highest level.
On behalf of the Turkish business world, I would like to extend our gratitude to the Prime Minister as well as all the Ministers and bureaucrats who have contributed to this incentive package.”
