Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

The meeting which took place at Hahn’s office in Brussels was attended by TOBB President and EUROCHAMBRES Vice President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, EUROCHAMBRES President Richard Weber and EUROCHAMBRES Secretary General Arnaldo Abruzzini.

During the meeting information on EUROCHAMBRES’ work in regards to the EU Expansion Process and the European Regional Policy was reviewed.

Discussion took place on matters such as the expansion of the comprehensiveness of the upcoming Customs Union between Turkey and EU, Turkey’s inclusion into FTAs signed by EU including the TTIP, possible energy sector cooperation between Turkey and EU as well as Turkey-EU relations in general.

Information was presented in regards to the Nicosia Forum comprised of TOBB, the Union of Hellenic Chambers, Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry and TRNC Chamber of Commerce.
