Touching on the importance of unity and solidarity for the development of provinces, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “What makes me the most happy is that this is present in Bayburt. There is grace and prosperity in unity; anguish in dissent. I can see this in Bayburt today. The governor, mayor, parliamentary representatives, the chamber and civil society organizations are moving in unison for Bayburt. Bayburt has a very bright future ahead of it. I would like to thank the governor, mayor, parliamentary representatives, parliamentary representative and the chamber president for ensuring this.”
Hisarcıklıoğlu reported that the number of people who have lost their jobs due to the 2008 global crisis until the end of 2014 is approximately 6 million.
Stating that Turkey has been very successful despite the effects of the crisis in Europe, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “As the Turkish private sector, we’ve provided social security registered employment to 4,194,000 people. If we had succumbed to pessimism like Europe, the number of unemployed in Turkey would have increased by 4.2 million people instead.
Touching on the difficulties stemming from the myriad of burdens heaped on the private sector, especially in regards to the costs of employment for the employer, TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “Despite all disadvantages, the Turkish private sector provides 1.1 million new people with employment each year. You deserve applaud for this.”
Following the speeches, the trainees who completed the UMEM Ability’10 Argon Welding Course received their certificates. Attending the certificate ceremony were Bayburt Governor Yusuf Odabaş, Mayor Mete Memiş, Bayburt TSO Board Chairman İbrahim Yumak, TANAP CEO Kenan Yavuz as well as many guests and the members of the public.
