A round table meeting was held by TOBB and the US Chamber of Commerce in honor of PM DavutoÄŸlu and his delegation with the attendances of the CEOs of prominent US businesses in New York.
Speaking at the meeting, TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu stressed the importance of the cooperation between TOBB and the US Chamber of Commerce as well as the activities it undertakes. Also the B20 Chair, Hisarcıklıoğlu invited those attending the meeting to the B20 meetings to be held in Antalya on the 14th and 15th of November.
PM DavutoÄŸlu touched on the recent events in and around Turkey. Providing information in regards to the investment environment in Turkey, DavutoÄŸlu urged the attendees to invest in Turkey and answered their questions.
Attending the meeting held as per the cooperation agreement signed by TOBB and the US Chamber of Commerce in 2012 were high level representatives from Coca Cola, Cisco, Metlife, Celgene, Brightstar, Noble Energy, Ntent, Goldman Sachs, Honeywell, Albright Stonebridge Group and UPS.
Accompanying PM Davutoğlu were Deputy PM Responsible for the Economy Cevdet Yılmaz, Minister of the Treasury Mehmet Şimşek, Foreign Affairs Minister Feridun Sinirlioğlu, Foreign Affairs Ministry Deputy Undersecretary and G20 Sherpa Ayşe Sinirlioğlu, THY Chair İlker Aycı, İSPAT Chair Arda Ermut. Also present during the meeting were Turkey’s Ambassador to Washington D.C. and New York Consul Ertan Yalçın.

In the US for the 34th annual meeting of the American – Turkish Council (ATC), TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu also had various meetings at the US Congress.
Hisarcıklıoğlu met with US House of Representatives Florida Republican Representative Illeana Ros-Lehtinen, US House of Representatives New Hampshire Republican Representative Frank Guinta and US House of Representatives Majority Whip Steve Scalise. Bilateral relations, especially TTIP, were discussed.
Also attending a meeting at the Turkish – American Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TACCI) Board of Directors, Hisarcıklıoğlu visited the IMF Executive Director İbrahim Çanakçı as well.
