Hisarcıklıoğlu emphasized that Marmaris is one of the most prosperous counties of Turkey and said, "Allah has graced Marmaris with all manner of riches. I can say this as someone who has been all over Turkey. I was in Bingöl two days ago. Comparing both Marmaris has a lot to be thankful for."

Reporting that a population increase of 18% has been observed in Marmaris resulting from its prosperity, TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that they have secured a promise from the Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu in regards to offsetting the insurance premiums of seasonal workers at the end of the season by the government.

Pointing out that seasonal workers are let go at the end of the season, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, "This stems from the extremely high tax burdens placed on employers - almost at 50%."
