Speaking at the opening of the meeting, TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu pointed out that Turkey needs to work together with the EU and emphasized that solutions for problems share a single path.

Touching on the fact that there are many folders and opportunities for cooperation, Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that he brings them up at EUROCHAMBRES, of which he is the Vice President. The TOBB President said, “We are working with the European business community at EUROCHAMBRES. We’ve been working on the matter of immigrants and immigration for a long while now.”

Also touching on the importance of updating the Customs Union, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “Problems on both ends must be put behind us; we want to attain new opportunities.” On the issues of visas and readmission agreements, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “It is of the utmost importance that visas be lifted in order to develop bilateral financial relations. We must leave this obstacle behind us.”
