- “The interest of the Turkish businessmen is very gratifying”

Stating that they had come together as Turkish and Serbian businessmen as part of the Turkish-Serbian Business Council held by the Foreign Economic Relations Council (DEİK), Bugarin expressed that they had been met with great interest and went on: “Turkey’s development speed is extraordinary. As one of Turkey’s business partners in the Balkans, Serbian businessmen also want to benefit from this. Serbia has a free trade agreement with Russia. As per this agreement 90% of goods can be imported with zero customs cost. Turkish businessmen need to be informed to this end and be encouraged to trade with Russia via Serbia. I think that holding a tripartite Turkish-Serbian-Russian business forum in the second half of 2013 would be extremely profitable and invite you all to Belgrade.”

Expressing gratification at Bugarin’s invitation, Hisarcıklıoğlu said that the tripartite business forum would be very beneficial to promoting the business opportunities in Serbia and went on: “This is a unique opportunity for Turkish companies wishing to enter the Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus markets. We must inform our businessmen in this regard and encourage them.”
