TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that he is deeply grieved by the loss of one of theatre and cinema’s masters, Tekin Akmansoy and said, “We have lost one of our very beloved artists, loved in his role as the Kayseri businessman Nuri Kantar. We will always remember him with respect and longing.”
In regards to Akmansoy’s Hisarcıklıoğlu said:
“Tekin Akmansoy was a genuine man of the arts who contributed greatly to cinema and the theatre. His place will not be easily filled. Unfortunately, the inevitable endings of many lives have occurred frequently of late. We are especially losing many well-loved individuals one after the other in Turkey. Without a doubt, Tekin Akmansoy, with his role as Nuri Kantar, was one of those names.
I believe that one of the most important representatives of the storytelling tradition, the great master Akmansoy, will forever present an example for younger generations and younger theatre actors.
It is with these thoughts and feelings that I, on behalf of the Turkish business world, pray for the grace of Allah upon him and offer my condolences to his family, loved ones and the art community. May heaven be his abode.”
